At the Louisiana State Museum Presbytere in its Katrina and Beyond: Living with Hurricanes permanent exhibit, the 53,000 petitions collected by Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans advocating for the consolidation and reform of levee boards in southeast Louisiana are on display. Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans led the successful reform movement through the Legislature, and the passage of a state-wide constitutional amendment enacting this reform.
Also to be included in the exhibit will be a video highlighting this historic reform effort.
