VOTE……… October 4th

Vote to change the city charter in order to bring efficiency, accountability, and fairness to city government through the independent offices of the Inspector General and Independent Police Monitor.

Government waste and corruption are hurting New Orleans. A permanent, nonpolitical and independent Inspector General is needed to root out “waste, fraud and abuse” throughout city government and to make the police department trusted and accountable. This will improve the quality of local public services, make law enforcement more effective and save taxpayers money.

What will the charter change do?

  1. Require that the City of New Orleans have an inspector general’s office.
  2. Provide a dedicated source of revenue for the inspector general’s office.
  3. Authorize the inspector general to hire independent legal counsel.
  4. Require that the inspector general’s office includes an independent police monitor.

Please help get out the vote!!
